The White Oak Ladynecks will play the Eustace Lady Bulldogs at Tyler Junior College on Oct. 30 at 8 p.m.
The Ladynecks advance into playoffs with 19-18 overall record and finished fourth in District 16-3A. Senior Andee Bridges is the biggest offensive weapon for the Ladynecks, leading the team with 465 kills. Look for senior Taylor Morgan to boost her ace count as she is not only the team’s best server, but tied for the district lead with 76 aces. Junior Londyn Baker also will contribute to the Ladyneck’s efforts as she comes into the match with 288 kills and 352 digs. Junior libero Peyton Thompson leads the Ladynecks with 378 digs.
The Lady Bulldogs battled with the Mineola Lady Jackets for the first place seed, sweeping them in three sets. They come into tonight’s game 31-5 finishing first in District 15-3A. Freshman Bodie Hudson takes on a huge responsibility as a young varsity player as an outside hitter and left back defensive specialist. Junior Madison Truitt leads the Lady Bulldogs with 330 kills and sophomore Macie Green leads the team with 46 total blocks and has racked up 144 kills.
Watch for sophomore Carrington Watson jousting against Truitt. Both of these middle blockers are aggressive at the net and will take any chance to put the ball down. Watson leads the team with 43 blocks.
